Man stabbed to death over cell phone

HERMITAGE, PA.

Police say a man was stabbed to death at an apartment in the 1500 block of Parke Drive after arguing early Wednesday over a cellphone.

Officers were called to the complex at about 3:30 a.m. and found Eric Williams, 32, bleeding from a stab wound. He was taken to UPMC Shenango Medical Center in Farrell, where he later died.

When officers arrived, 37-year-old Lashara Wilder was trying to treat Williams, reports said.

Police later charged Wilder with criminal homicide after they learned Williams was stabbed when he was trying to leave the apartment with a cellphone the pair were arguing about.
