TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The meal costs $8 and consists of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $7, and a fish sandwich only is $5.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski; and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to 11 a.m. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Youngstown, will host a spaghetti and meatball dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. It will include Italian bread, salad, pies and cakes, coffee, lemonade, orange drink, hot tea and water. Dinners for adults are $8 and $3 for children. Proceeds will be divided between Operation Blessing and the Rescue Mission.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will serve a roast beef dinner with a salad and dessert bar from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12, and under 5 eat for free. A bake sale will take place during the dinner.

VFW Post 6488 will host a breakfast from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the post home, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, Youngstown. The cost is $7 for all you can eat. For information call 330-746-8259.

SUNDAY

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Ladies Auxiliary will host a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The menu comprises eggs, hash brown potatoes, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast and coffee or tea.

Vincent United Methodist Church, 20 Walnut St., Jackson Center, Pa., will serve a braised steak dinner from 12:30 p.m. until sold out. The meal will constitute potatoes, vegetable, applesauce, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

TUESDAY

Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard, will serve an election day Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. It will include mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, bread and beverage. Tickets for adults are $8 and $4 for children. Takeouts will be available. Visit its bake sale for dessert.

TAKING ORDERS

Lydia Circle of Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., is taking orders for individual size ham loaves for $2 each. Pickup will be from noon to 3 p.m. May 12. Orders will be taken through May 6 at the church by calling 330-545-4361.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, is taking carryout orders for stuffed cabbage until Thursday. The cost is $13 per dozen. Take a container and save $1.25. Pickup will be May 8, 9 and 10. Call 330-792-5124.

The dinner consists of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $6 per dinner. Drive up to the door and someone will take dinners to your car. First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve a drive-through chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 8. The cost is $7 each and the youth will deliver the food to your car. The proceeds will benefit a team of seven young people who are planning a mission trip to Chicago this summer.

The Globe Restaurant, 6965 Truck World Blvd. (inside Truck World Mall on Route 7), Hubbard, will provide a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. May 7 to benefit the Hubbard Historical Society. For each dinner served the restaurant will make a contribution to the society. No reservations or advanced tickets are necessary.
