AUCTIONS

Canfield Republican Women’s Club is sponsoring a Quarter Auction Fundraiser on June 5 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the auction begins at 6. Tickets, $15 each, are limited and must be bought in advance. They include a bidding paddle, hors d’oeuvres, dessert, coffee and iced tea. Reserved tables are available for groups of eight and nine. BINGO, CARD PARTIES

St. Mark Orthodox Church, 3560 Logan Way, Liberty, will host a card party and luncheon from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. There will be games, prizes, raffles, homemade baked goods and a basket auction. Tickets are $5. For information or directions, call 330-270-9820.

St. Nicholas Great Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, will be the site of a card and bingo party Tuesday sponsored by the church’s Altar and Rosary Society. It will begin at 6 p.m., and the donation is $5. Lunch is included, and there will be a basket auction.

St. Stephen of Hungary Church will have its Spring Fling Bingo and Card Party at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church social hall, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown. The cost of $5 includes lunch and door prizes. Security is provided.

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, is sponsoring a Super Bingo on Sunday. Those who purchased advanced tickets can arrive at 11:30 a.m. For those without tickets, the doors will open at noon. All games will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30; dinner is included. CRAFT SHOWS

Brookfield United Methodist Church will have a Craft and Vendor Bash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 6951 Grove St., Brookfield. There will be more than 30 vendors, a basket auction, a 50-50 raffle, a smart TV raffle and face painting. Hot food and cold beverages will be available. FUNDRAISERS

Avalon Golf and Country Club, Squaw Creek, 761 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Vienna, will host the annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic on July 14. The 18-hole four-person scramble will be followed by lunch and a basket auction and raffle. Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m., and the shotgun start is at 9. Community Bill of Rights will benefit from three fundraisers: Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Boxcar Lounge, next to the B&O Station on Mahoning Avenue., Youngstown, the evening includes entertainment, food and games; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. a bake sale fundraiser at a farmers market at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1105 Elm St.; and also Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. a yard sale at 11 Michigan Ave., Poland, no early sales, items will include collectibles, furniture, carpets, washer and dryer, kids clothes, books, etc.

SALES

First Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway, Girard, will have a rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Lunch and a bake sale also will be available.

Good Hope Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. There will be no early sales. Proceeds go to the church’s cancer Relay for Life team, which will be serving food all day. To donate items, drop them off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the church. Friends of the Community Library of the Shenango Valley will host a Big Used Book Sale on May 7 through 10 at the library, 11 N. Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, Pa. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 7, 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 8, and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 9 and 10. Gently used books, magazines and audiovisual materials will be available, and all proceeds will benefit the library.

Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will host a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10. There will be household goods, tools, books, clothes, collectibles and more. Lunch, baked goods and refreshments will be available. Use the rear entrance of the church. Donations of items will be accepted through May 8 by contacting the church, 330-792-5889. Proceeds will be used by the men’s group to fund improvements or maintenance projects at the church.

Holborn Herb Growers Guild will host an herb and plant sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17 in the Pumpkin Barn at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Herbal plants, perennial plants, fairy gardens, fairy garden supplies and herbal cookbooks will be available for purchase. Funds for this nonprofit organization support the gardens in Boardman Park and in the Western Reserve Village Gardens at the Canfield Fairgrounds. The guild also awards scholarships.

Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will have its annual spring rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, when there also will be a bake sale; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday (half-price day); and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday ($1-a-bag day). Penn State Shenango, 147 Shenango Ave., Sharon, Pa., will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in McDowell Hall, in conjunction with the City of Sharon’s Downtown Spring Fling. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the United Way of Mercer County. The sale will include clothing, household items, toys, baby and children’s furniture and items, books, and more.
