SENIOR CITIZENS

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield for lunch and a musical program by Kelly Wickham. To honor Mother’s Day, members are encouraged to take mothers, sons or daughters. Make reservations by calling Linda Wiland, president, at 330-318-8472. The cost is $11. Greeters are Carolyn Steiner and Naomi Schuller. The group meets the first Thursday monthly for lunch and a program or bingo. Men, women and couples, 55 and older, are invited. Cornersburg residency is not a requirement. Annual dues are $5.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will have its monthly meeting at noon Friday in the conference room at Lowellville City Hall. Ernie Ciarniello will preside. Lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi; make reservations with Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. Dues of $5 for the year will be collected, and a 50-50 raffle will follow the meeting. Take a donation for a basket for shut-in members. Notify Mary Mascarella, sunshine chairwoman, of illnesses or deaths. New members are welcome; Lowellville residency is not required to join.

Retired Registered Nurses will meet for a catered lunch at 1 p.m. May 20 at A La Cart in Canfield. Reservations should be made by May 12 to Lee Kovalan at 330-792-5053. The books will be audited, and members are asked to take items (no clothes) for a collection for disadvantaged women.
