Polaks celebrate 50th anniversary of their wedding

Michael J. Polak Jr. and Sally Polak of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 22 with a family gathering at Sea Watch Restaurant in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Fla.

Hosting the event, for which invitations were issued, was their daughter, Candy (Fernando) Borda of Fort Lauderdale.

The couple have a son, Michael J. III (Katherine) Polak of Delray Beach, Fla., as well as two grandchildren.

The former Sally Sawyer married Mr. Polak on Feb. 22, 1964, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness West in Youngstown. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Polak retired in February 2000 from General Motors in Lordstown, where he worked as a coordinator.

The couple are Jehovah’s Witnesses.
