GARDEN CLUBS

THURSDAY

St. Charles will meet at 7 p.m. in St. Matthew Room in the Ministries Building. Deanna Hosey will talk about Something Unique 4 U floral designing.

Sweetbrier will tour the historical farmhouse and gardens of Gordon Vujevic, 7623 Orangeville Road, Burghill. Hostess will be Shirley Megown.

SATURDAY

Hubbard Junior members will travel to DJ’s Greenhouse, 1004 E. Lake Road, Transfer, Pa. Meet at 9:15 a.m. in the Hubbard City Building parking lot to carpool. Owner Dennis James will talk about new plants for 2014. There will be a question-and-answer period, and visitors can walk the gardens to see the spring perennials. The greenhouses will be open for shopping. Contact Linda Youst at 330-534-7744 if you plan to attend. The club also will have its plant and bake sale from 9 a.m. to noon May 17 in the city building parking lot.

Garden club events are published Sunday. Please submit information to the Society Department by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
