Chelsea Smith and Charles Wirtz Jr., both of Mason, Ohio, exchanged vows July 6, 2013, at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. The Rev. Barry Windholtz officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the Marriott River Center in Covington, Ky.

Terry Smith of Mason and Leslie Feld of Cincinnati are the parents of the bride. The parents of the groom are Charles and Catherine Wirtz of Canfield.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Mason.

The bride wore a tulle ball gown with an asymmetrical ruched strapless bodice and a sweetheart neckline. The natural waistline was adorned with lace appliques.

The bride’s sister, Molly Smith, was her maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Victoria and Mary Wirtz, the groom’s sisters; Jenn Habel; Lindsay Leiberman; Abby Othen; Katie Combs; and Laura Voss. Brooklyn Doughman, the bride’s niece, was the flower girl.

The attendants wore coral-colored gowns.

Kevin Ricks performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Adam Smith, the bride’s brother; Michael Musilli; Michael Rounsavall; Nate Dripps; Anthony Burnside; Phil Beshara; and Andrew Yunker. George Wirtz, the groom’s cousin, and Easton Doughman, the bride’s nephew, were ring bearers.

The bride is a graduate of Ohio University, where she received a degree in middle childhood education. She is a teacher for Mason City Schools.

The groom also graduated from OU and received a degree in English. He is a recruiter for Robert Half Technology in Cincinnati.
