Salem theater plans Night at Races

Salem Community Theatre’s second annual Night at the Races fundraiser will be May 3 at the Salem Elks Club, 824 E. State St.

Tickets are $25 and include food, beer, pop and the chance to try your luck on 10 horse races. Doors open at 6 p.m., and post time is at 7. The event is open to the public, but the minimum age is 21. It will include basket raffles and a raffle. Horses for each of the first nine races can be purchased in advance at $10 apiece or nine for $80. Each winner receives $25. Only 90 horses are available.
