Program set Sunday on strengthening families


CHAMPION — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a “Strengthening Families Night” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Warren Chapel, 1321 State Road.

The event is open to all. A nursery will be provided. The event will emphasize God’s role in strengthening individuals and families.

Timothy Headrick, patriarch and father of 11 children, will speak about how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can strengthen families to deal with today’s issues.

Raul Kemp, a local educator, father and church youth leader, will share how he has seen the Gospel of Jesus Christ change his life and the lives of others. He is also former bishop of the Warren congregation.

Laurie Busch, a middle-school teacher, church youth leader and mother, will address how the knowledge of God’s plan of salvation affects our perspective of our families. A social time will follow.
