World Book Night: The reading is free

The Mahoning Valley Hope Center and Books-A-Million have teamed up to host World Book Night at 6 p.m. Wednesday at The Mahoning Valley Hope Center, 3217 Surrey Road, on the corner of Surrey and Eastland.

World Book Night is an annual celebration dedicated to spreading the joy of reading. Each year on April 23, tens of thousands of people go out into their communities and give half a million free World Book Night paperbacks to light and nonreaders.

All books are free of charge.
