SENIOR MENUS


Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is located at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.

COLUMBIANA AND MAHONING COUNTIES

Wednesday, April 23: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, peas, oranges, wheat bread, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Thursday, April 24: Chicken leg, spudsters, mixed vegetables, unsweetened pineapple, bread, angel food cake and milk.

Friday, April 25: Pasta with meatballs, zucchini, banana, bread and milk.

Saturday, April 26: Turkey and cheese, tossed salad, coleslaw, unsweetened fruit, bread, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk.

Monday, April 28: Maple french toast, turkey sausage, sweet potatoes, orange juice, blueberry muffin, unsweetened applesauce and milk.

Tuesday, April 29: Meatloaf with gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, peas and carrots, mandarin oranges, wheat bread, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at 12 locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal. To make a reservation or for more information, call 330-675-2486. Wednesday, April 23: Beef steak fritter with gravy, red potatoes, seasoned spinach, rye bread with margarine, grape juice and milk.

Thursday, April 24: Cold rotisserie chicken on a bun, potato salad, three-bean salad, unsweetened applesauce and milk.

Friday, April 25: Salmon croquette, carrot coins, green beans, wheat bread with margarine, tropical fruit salad and milk.

Monday, April 28: Steak burger on a bun, buttered cabbage, green beans, diced peaches and milk.

Tuesday, April 29: Turkey patty, cheesy onion mashed potatoes, lima beans, wheat bread with margarine, apple and milk.
