Glenn Stevens and Regina Reynolds have been hosting a weekly cooking segment on “WFMJ Today” for many years.

On Friday, the “Stirring It Up” segment will hit a milestone: No. 500.

“WFMJ Today” airs weekdays at 6 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV. “Stirring It Up” is part of the show every Friday.

The segment has developed a following with early risers, said Stevens, who is also a news reporter for the station. Neither he nor Reynolds — who are married to each other — are professional chefs, but they enjoy cooking and developing healthy dishes.

The two have been known to get into the spirit of holidays by dressing the part for their segment. They also feature a new kitchen gadget each week and ask viewers to guess what it does.

In 2011-12, Stevens and Reynolds hosted a half-hour Saturday morning show called “Kids Can Cook” on 21 WFMJ-TV.
