SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Austintown Historical Society recently honored its past presidents at the 37th annual Past Presidents Dinner. The keynote speaker was Atty. Kathy McNabb Welsh, chief deputy Clerk of Courts of Mahoning County, who spoke about “Becoming an American Citizen — The Naturalization Process.” The society’s first president was Mike Antonoff from 1975 to 1976. Other presidents were Ken Zinz from 1977 to 1980, Griffith V. Thomas from 1983 to 1987, and Joyce Pogany has been president since 1988. The late Mary Jane Evans was president in 1981, and the late Stewart G. Wagner, in 1982. From left are Pogany; Atty. Welsh; Janet Smart, dinner chairman; and Thomas.
