Youngstown bomb squad checks out suitcase in Warren

The Youngstown Bomb Squad was called to the Warren Community Services Building, 418 South Main Ave. SW, this morning after a worker found an unidentified suitcase near the entrance to the building.

Mike Keys, community development director for the city, said he found the suitcase when he arrived at 7:30 a.m. and called Warren police, who advised him at about 8 a.m. to have everyone evacuate the building.

The bomb squad found nothing dangerous in the suit case and allowed workers to re-enter the building at about 10 a.m.

Keys said he thinks it’s possible someone from the flea market next door left it there over the weekend.
