The Liberty Township Police Department, in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will participate in National Prescription Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26 at the township administration building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
Participants wishing to return unused, outdated or unwanted drugs are asked to place the medications in clear, sealed plastic bags. No liquids, needles or sharps will be accepted. The service is free to all individuals.
Walk MS on April 26

The 2014 Mahoning Valley Walk Multiple Sclerosis, presented by Novartis, will be April 26 at Scrappers Stadium at 111 Eastwood Mall Blvd. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.
The Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is hosting Walk MS to raise awareness and funds for local programs, services and medical research, said Janet Kramer, chapter president.
The event also is an opportunity to inspire others to join the fight against multiple sclerosis and to show support to those living with the chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system, said Guyla Wehman of the Ohio Buckeye Chapter in Independence.

Drugs, meth, guns

Police seized several drugs and weapons from a Hillcrest Avenue apartment Friday after U.S. marshals arrested Michael Antonini on a warrant from Wyoming, according to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV.
Police confiscated 1,089 grams of marijuana, 40 Xanax pills, 9.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine, an assault rifle, three shotguns and nearly $2,500 from the residence.
Antonini is in federal custody, and his charges are pending.
No injuries in fire

There were no injuries in the Reynolds Industrial Park three-building fire Friday, according to The Vindicator’s broadcast news partner, 21 WFMJ-TV.
Several area fire departments battled the fire into Friday night.
Fire crews responded to the fire at the Salem tube plant at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
Assaulted on street
WARREN
A 38-year-old Main Avenue Southwest man reported Friday that he was robbed and assaulted at a house on Chestnut Avenue Northeast on Wednesday night while there to buy $20 worth of marijuana.
The man said he was outside the house after buying the drug, and someone punched him in the face, causing multiple facial fractures. When he got up, his wallet and cellphone were gone. He went to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment, he said.
