Walk for neurofibromatosis next Saturday

The second annual Great Steps Walk for NF sponsored by The Neurofibromatosis Network will be next Saturday in Boardman Park.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10.

The Great Steps Walk for NF benefits efforts to combat the disorder, a genetic, progressive nervous-system disorder, by raising awareness and funds for research.

Preregistration is $20 for adults and $25 the day of the event; children 4-10 cost $12, and 3 and younger, $6. Walkers can either walk as an individual or as a team, and each individual raising $100 or more for the event will have the registration fee waived. After the event, participants are invited to have fun, food and a chance to meet others touched by NF.
