Youngstown-owned Stambaugh Golf Course is open

The city-owned Henry Stambaugh Golf Course is open for business.
The course on the city’s North Side opened Wednesday. It’s open daily through the end of November, weather permitting, at 8 a.m. with the last tee-off at 6 p.m.
“It’s still very wet out there, but the greens are beautiful,” said David Boos, the course’s golf pro.
The 9-hole course is keeping its prices the same as last year.
The cost is $8.50 for residents and $9 for those who don’t live in the city. Seniors receive a $1 discount.
Specials include: $5 for Monday through Thursday before 3 p.m., $10 for Monday through Friday to ride, and $11 for Saturday and Sunday after 2 p.m. to ride.
Golf carts are $5 per person and drops to $4 per person Monday through Friday before noon.
Season memberships are $475 for resident and $425 for residents who are senior citizens. The rate for those who don’t live in the city is $25 more than for city residents.
