UPDATE| Two shot, one fatally at Warren home
WARREN
James R. Levels, 64, of Beal Street Northwest, was killed and a 48-year-old South Street Southeast woman was injured late Monday during a home-invasion burglary.
Warren police are speaking this morning at ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hosptal with the woman, who called 911 at 11:25 p.m. and who lives at the home in the 900 block of South Street Southeast.
Levels was found dead in the bedroom, where the woman also was shot two times, said Lt. Jeff Cole of the Warren Police Department said.
The house is near the intersection of South Street and Logan Avenue Southeast, several blocks southwest of Trumbull Memorial.
The incident began when two people broke into the house through the front door.
It is not known whether the man and woman were awake or asleep or what the relationship is between the two, police said.
No one has been charged in the crime.
It is the first homicide in Warren this year and the first shooting, Cole said.
No information on the woman's condition is available.
