YOUNGSTOWN
Talmer Bank and Trust is joining the “Teach Children to Save” campaign by partnering with local schools to teach children a lesson centered on saving, spending and saving toward a financial goal.
Banking centers from Austintown, Boardman, Brookfield, Champion, New Middletown, Niles, Poland and Warren are among those participating in the 18th annual campaign this week.
Since the American Bankers Association established Teach Children to Save in 1997, the program has reached more than 6 million youths through 134,200 banker volunteers.
Business showcase
COLUMBIANA
The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Spring Business Showcase for residents and business April 24 at Col-Pump Co., 131 E. Railroad St.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments, networking and presentations by chamber members.

Computer classes
CHAMPION
Trumbull Career & Training Center’s Adult Training Center, 528 Educational Highway NW, announced its roster of part-time computer classes beginning in April and May.
The courses include computer basics, comprehensive computers, introduction to Word, QuickBooks, digital camera advanced and introduction to Photoshop.

Chamber breakfast
SALEM
Jim Houck and Eric Hamilton of the local public-relations and marketing firm Pecchia Communications will speak about social media and online marketing at a Wednesday breakfast meeting sponsored by the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Salem Community Center at 1098 Ellsworth Road. Reservation is required, and admission is $15 for chamber members and $20 for nonmembers.

CNG partnership
AKRON
JRayl Transport Inc. announced it has partnered with U.S. Oil to utilize its GAIN Clean Fuel compressed natural gas, as the company looks to convert its fleet from diesel fuel to CNG.
As a part of the deal, U.S. Oil acquired the existing CNG station at JRayl’s national headquarters in Akron.
JRayl also will purchase 76 dedicated CNG tractors, and the company plans to convert more of its fleet to CNG in the future.
Event rescheduled
WARREN
The Good Morning Canfield breakfast, originally set for Friday, has been rescheduled for June 5.
The event still will take place at the Hippodrome Banquet Center, 150 High St.
The check-in and breakfast begin at 7:30, and the program will follow from 8 to 9 a.m.
