Firefighters will host wine taste

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Association of Black Professional Firefighters will host a wine taste from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Covelli Centre VIP Suite, 229 E. Front St.

A variety of wines provided by Superior Beverage will be showcased in addition to a competition among area winemakers.

Music, hors d’oeuvres and a basket auction also will be available.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or from any member of YABPFF. Donations can be sent to YABPFF, P.O. Box 6885, Youngstown, OH 44501. For information call Marcia Harris at 330-550-9996.

Proceeds will benefit the Sharyl E. Frasier Everett Memorial Scholarship Fund. Frazier was the city’s first female firefighter and a pioneer of the black firefighter’s organization.
