Eight local girls have been selected to participate in the Miss Teen Youngstown/Cleveland/Akron Pageant planned for April 13.
The girls are competing in one of four divisions, in which young ladies between ages 7 and 19 vie in modeling routines, including casual wear and formal wear.

The winner of a title would represent Youngstown/Cleveland/Akron and the surrounding communities at the National competition in Orlando, Fla. More than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented there while each contestant enjoys an expense-paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.
Competing in the Miss Teen division are Wendy Ford of Struthers, and Vernique Harris and Destiny Zarae Butler, both of Youngstown.
Kayla Sawhill of New Middletown and Tabitha Fiorenza of Struthers will compete in the Miss Junior Teen competition, Brianna Simon of Girard and Hayley Fiorenza of Struthers will be judged in the Miss Pre-Teen division, and Lilly Kraynak of Poland will participate in the Miss Junior Pre-Teen competition.
