‘Preparedness Day’

The American Red Cross and Dominion East Ohio are partnering to host a “Preparedness Day” at Eastwood Mall to teach the importance of being prepared for an unforeseeable disaster.

The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, will include a pre- and post-test with trained Red Cross and Dominion volunteers.

Those who complete both parts will receive a free first-aid kit, courtesy of Dominion East Ohio.

Phantom Fireworks releases new app

YOUNGSTOWN

Phantom Fireworks released a new mobile app for both iOS and Android devices, company President Bruce J. Zoldan announced Thursday.

The free app, designed by software company Tivix, is designed to improve the customer experience and enable consumers to better browse the www.fireworks.com website and view product videos.

The app for iOS devices was released Wednesday, and the Android version was made available Thursday.
