Police cite man with DUI, speeding
YOUNGSTOWN
Police cited a man on charges of driving under the influence about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday and for driving twice the speed limit on Glenwood Avenue.
Mill Creek MetroParks police officers spotted a car driven by Vincent Hill, 37, of Youngstown driving south on Glenwood Avenue and clocked it at 79 mph. The posted speed limit is 35 mph.
There also was a car in a parking lot nearby, and the driver said he had been hit by a car similar to the one Hill was driving. Police found a bumper in the road and then spotted Hill’s car, which had damage to its front end, reports said.
Reports said Hill was very drunk when he was stopped, and there was an almost-empty bottle of brandy in his car and a marijuana cigar. He was cited for driving under the influence and taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center so a blood test could be done to determine his alcohol content, reports said.
