Indians' home opener to be delayed

CLEVELAND — The Indians have announced that today's home opener against the Minnesota Twins, scheduled for 3:05 p.m., will not start on time at Progressive Field.

Bands of showers moving through the area have forced the grounds crew to alternately cover the playing field with a tarp and then remove it. The tarp is currently on the field again.
