Suspect arrested in Kent State shooting

KENT, Ohio (AP) — One person is in custody in a hospital after allegedly firing a gun on the Kent State University campus, with the incident prompting officials to tell students to shelter in place for a time.

Campus police say the male suspect fired the shot into the ground Wednesday night near the Bowman Hall academic building. They say there were no injuries from the shot.
