Onions? They like the early season

It’s time to think about planting onion sets or transplants from the local garden center or farm cooperative. They will grow in cool weather, as long as the nights are not below 20 degrees. Spacing is tight on green onions, and farther apart (6-8 inches) for larger bulb onions.
