Fairhaven School egg hunt is Saturday

Fairhaven School, 420 Lincoln Way, will have a community Easter-egg hunt from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. The event is sponsored and paid for by the Fairhaven Community Awareness Committee.

Registration, pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, music and treats will begin at 10 a.m; an Easter bonnet contest for children, young adults and adults will follow at 10:30, and the egg hunt begins at 11.

Children will be separated into age groups. The mobility challenged will be accommodated with a special area friendly to wheelchair use or other adaptive equipment for mobility. One family member may assist a child in this category.

There will be 10,000 eggs at the event, with one grand-prize-winning ticket per age group to win a bike; grand prize for mobility challenged children is a $75 gift card.

The event will take place rain or shine. It will be moved inside if there is poor weather.
