1,667 pinwheels to be placed Friday for Child Abuse Prevention Month

For Child Abuse Prevention Month, Trumbull County Children Services, Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley Child Advocacy Center and Ohio Children’s Trust Fund are having a Pinwheels for Prevention event.

At 10 a.m. Friday, 1,667 pinwheels will be placed in the ground in front of the Children Services offices, 2282 Reeves Road NE, indicating the number of child-maltreatment reports received by the agency in 2013.

Warren Mayor Doug Franklin and State Rep. Sean O’Brien of Bazetta Township, D-63rd, will speak.
