Veterans Stand Down event is Saturday in Lisbon

LISBON — A veterans Stand Down event will be offered 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Columbiana County Career Center, 9364 state Route 45. Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley will provide food and produce.

“Stand Downs” are part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ efforts to provide services to homeless veterans.

The food bank will distribute food to veterans and others in need of emergency food assistance, and there will also be a booth with information on additional community resources available to veterans.
