Polish Swieconka coming up Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN

Swieconka, a free Polish Easter Traditions workshop and celebration, will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Wick Avenue and Wood Street.

Attend for the whole afternoon or just pop in and shop. The annual event is sponsored by Polish Youngstown, and it benefits the scholarship fund.

Included will be EGGstravaganza; Palms, Eggs and Paper Cutting; and Polish Kids Korner. A Polish Easter breakfast also is planned, and paska bread, paczki and kolachi will be sold.

Shopping opportunities include wooden Easter eggs, basket or table linens and decorative palms.
