GM hearing | Senator lauds work of GM employees

WASHINGTON — In a Senate subcommittee hearing on the General Motors ignition-switch recall, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., said GM factory workers were not to blame for the defect that has been linked to 13 deaths.

“I am proud of them and their work,” McCaskill said. GM leadership failed their workers and the public by failing to act appropriately, she added.
