Sharon Regional now part of Tenn.-based Community Health Systems

SHARON, PA. — Sharon Regional Health System as well as outpatient clinics and other ancillary facilities operated as part of the system have become affiliates of Tennessee-based Community Health Systems.

The sale was finalized today, according to a Sharon Regional news release. Sharon Regional is Mercer County’s largest hospital and health care system.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office and other regulatory agencies approved the sale.
