AUCTIONS

Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. NE, Warren, is sponsoring an auction Sunday to benefit animals. Doors open at noon, and drawings begin at 3 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes 25 raffle tickets, a door prize chance, beverage and a snack. Food also will be for sale.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, is sponsoring its annual basket auction Sunday. Doors open at 2 p.m., and the drawing begins at 4. Donation is $5. BAZAARS

Heritage Presbyterian Church,1951 Mathews Road, Poland, will sponsor a bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. It will feature baked goods, arts and crafts, a trash and treasure sale and a raffle. Haluski, hot dogs and kraut dogs, sloppy joes, desserts and beverages will be available.

BINGO, CARD PARTIES

Girard Eagles Ladies Auxiliary will host its fall card and bingo party Saturday at Eagles Hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave. Doors open at noon, and bingo starts at 2 p.m. A pasta and salad dinner will be served from noon to 2 p.m. Cost is $6 per person. There also will be a bake sale, 50-50 raffle, basket auction, door prizes and 50-50 games. Cards are on sale now and at the door.

St. Ann Church, 323 S. 15th St., Sebring, will be the site of a fall card party from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 in the parish hall. The Women of Faith Society is sponsoring the event. FUNDRAISERS

Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County Inc. will sponsor its annual Walk for the Animals on Sunday at the new shelter, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Vienna. Registration begins at noon, blessing of the animals will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., and a boxed lunch will be served after the walk ends. Gospel Temple Baptist Church is looking for organizations, groups or businesses to participate in its second annual Community Trunk or Treat from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31. The business or organization is asked to provide a car trunk decorated with a Halloween theme, someone to pass out the candy, and enough candy for 100 kids or more. The 2013 Pink Ribbon Golf Classic committee is sponsoring a bus trip to the Seneca Allegheny Casino on Oct. 26. All proceeds will be given to the American Cancer Society. The 2013 Trumbull County Farm Foliage Tour will take place in the Hartford area from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct.13. Take a scenic tour of stops in the Hartford area. Stops include Hartford Orchards, Storeyland Christmas Tree Farm, Hartford Greenhouses and Hartford Center. Registration and tour maps will be available. The Antique Tractor Club display will bring back memories of yesteryear, and Green Power Milling will have ice cream to purchase. Trumbull County Travel Club has planned the following trips and meeting: Oct. 23 will be a planning meeting at the Howland Library from 2 to 4 p.m. A photo exchange will take place, and the fall 2014 Maine vacation will be discussed; Nov. 6, motor coach trip to Sugarcreek including a luncheon and theater show and shopping; cost is $89 per person and due now; Nov. 19, a one-day excursion to Cambridge, Ohio, for a Dickens Victorian Village Christmas outing, which includes lunch at the Colonel Taylor Inn, shopping, a visit to the Museum of Glass, a tour of St. Michael Church and an evening light show.
