SENIOR CITIZENS


55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at St. Mary’s Church at noon Tuesday. October hostesses are Marge Guthrie and Helen Lang. After the meeting and cards and games, members will dine out.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will have its monthly meeting at noon Friday in Lowellville City Hall conference room. Ernie Ciarniello will preside, and lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi. For reservations call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. Birthdays and anniversaries for October will be acknowledged, and bingo and a 50-50 raffle will follow. Members are asked to take a donation for a gift basket for a sick or shut-in member. Notify Mary Mascarella, sunshine chairwoman, at 330-536-8748 of illnesses or deaths. Those over 55 are invited to become members; Lowellville residency is not required.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Bob Ferrera will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. St. Charles Over-55 Club will meet at noon Oct. 8 at the church social hall. Pizza will be served and followed by cards and bingo. Membership dues should be paid at this time. New members are always welcome. For information call Carolyn Valensi at 330-726-2375.

Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 14 at the Buena Vista Cafe. Carol Olson will present the program, titled “Putting Your Garden to Bed.” For reservations or information, call Sandy Sarsany at 330-847-7552 by Oct. 11. All TMH retirees are welcome.

Youngstown State University Freetimers will have their monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana. All retirees are invited for breakfast and conversation.
