TUESDAY

Ikebana will meet at 9 a.m. at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Shirley Winkler will provide instruction sheets.

WEDNESDAY

Mahoning will meet at noon for a sack lunch at 15914 Berlin Station Road, Berlin Center. Presenters will be the Vuletiches. Hostesses are Marilyn Chiu and Carol Bigelow.

Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown will meet at 7 p.m. at Fellows Riverside Gardens. The speaker will be Jamey Emmert, who will talk about forest critters that are rarely seen.

THURSDAY

St. Charles will meet at 7 p.m. in the St. Matthew Room at the ministries building. A Boardman librarian will talk about library services, e-readers and ideas for grandparents to do with grandchildren. Take books for a book exchange.

UPCOMING

Youngstown District Garden Club of Ohio’s fall meeting will take place Oct. 9 at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 10. Mary Lou Flere, Youngstown district director, will preside. The morning speaker will be Eric Barrett, an Ohio State Extension educator, on maintaining garden tools, and the afternoon speaker will be Lynn Zocolo, horticulture educator of Mill Creek MetroParks, on identification of trees.
