ROAD WORK

ROAD WORK

ODOT

A rundown of road work being done in Mahoning County by the Ohio Department of Transportation:

Austintown: Beginning at 7 a.m. Sunday, the ramp from Interstate 80 westbound to state Route 46 will be closed until 11 a.m. for pavement repairs. The detour will be I-80 westbound to Bailey Road to I-80 eastbound. Also on Sunday, again beginning at 7 a.m., I-80 eastbound between Route 46 and Interstate 680 will have various lane restrictions for pavement repairs. These restrictions will remain in place through 7 p.m.

Boardman/Poland Village: This closure and restriction is currently in place at the I-680 & U.S. Route 224 interchange: Motorists who use the I-680 southbound ramp to Route 224 westbound will use a new traffic pattern where they now will stop at the intersection of Route 224 before making a right turn. The ramp from I-680 northbound to Route 224 is closed through late October. The detour is Western Reserve Road to South Avenue.

Boardman: Route 224 between I-680 and Tiffany Boulevard is reduced to one lane in each direction for roadway widening and interchange modifications. This work is part of a $5.4 million project to widen the Route 224 bridge over I-680 and improve the I-680/Route 224 interchange. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late October 2014.
