Jury deliberates suit against Jackson promoter

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A jury of six women and six men has begun its first full day of deliberations in the lawsuit brought by Michael Jackson’s mother against the late pop star’s concert promoter.

The Los Angeles jury today resumed talks that began late Thursday after the conclusion of closing arguments.

A plaintiff’s lawyer urged jurors to find that AEG Live negligently hired the doctor whose treatment’s killed Jackson.

The defense has argued that Jackson alone was responsible for his health care and insisted on having Dr. Conrad Murray as his physician.
