Employee caught stealing from his Boardman store

BOARDMAN — Township police arrested a Niles man Thursday after he was caught pocketing money at his workplace.

Jason Plant, 38, was working at Advanced Auto Parts on Boardman-Canfield Road when a loss-prevention manager found him making fraudulent returns, according to a police report.

When confronted, Plant admitted to taking $60.94.

He was charged with theft and given a summons. He will be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mahoning County Area Court here.
