ASSOCIATIONS

Mahoning Valley Speech, Language and Hearing Association will have a professional meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Park Vista Retirement Center, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The program topic will be “Navigator for Families with Special Needs” by Pam Petrus. There is no cost, and no reservations are needed.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1950 will meet at noon Wednesday at Bedford Trails Golf Course.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Landmark Restaurant, 7424 Market St., Boardman. Classmates and guests are invited.

CLUBS

HISTORICAL SOCIETIES

Girard Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barnhisel House, 1011 N. State St.

McDonald Historical Society will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday in the community room at the post office.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Poland Library’s fall meeting will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Poland Library. There will be no coffee hour. The speaker will be Heidi Daniel, director of the library. After the meeting there will be a salad luncheon. All members are asked to take a salad. Hostesses will be Mary Jane Backus, Emily Hune, Dee Ringer, Bev Chorey and Eloise Large. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are accepted for the book cart. Membership dues will be collected in October and November. The meetings are open to the public; new members are welcome.

POLITICAL CLUBS

Warren Republican Women’s Club is planning a membership drive mixer to begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at McMenamy’s in Niles. There will be a cash bar, and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Speakers will discuss the future role of the WRWC and the Trumbull County Republican party. The cost is $5 for members; there’s no charge for nonmembers, but reservations need to be made by calling Cary Ann Koren at 330-856-5228.
