BGMS defeats Center

The Boardman Glenwood seventh-grade volleyball team played a great game, defeating Center 25-16 and 25-17 to make them 8-2 on the season. Kailee James led the team with serves and Brooke Hoffman was an offensive leader. The eighth-grade team also played an impressive game beating Center 25-7 and 25-10 and improved to 9-1. Briawna Sanitago led the serving in aces and Ashley Clark was a team leader in kills.

BGMS whips West Branch

The Boardman Glenwood seventh-grade volleyball team improved their record to 7-2 by defeating West Branch 25-12 and 25-22. Jenna Benko led the scoring with serves and Hannah Nawrocki set a strong game. The eighth-grade team also beat West Branch 25-19 and 25-23 to make their season record 8-1. Madison Soles was a leader defensively while Briawna Santiago was a scoring leader with her serves.

Varsity soccer defeats Boardman

The Boardman High School girls varsity team defeated Austintown Fitch 2-1 at Austintown. Scoring for the Spartans was Alison Green and Jenna Kuczek. Assisting Green was Skylar Bryant.

BHS defeats Perry

The BHS girls Jjunior varsity team defeated Perry junior varsity 3-0. Featured players were Sara Downie with a penalty kick, Alisa Earvin with a goal and an assist on a goal, Anna Saxton with an assist and Hailey Snyder with a score. The varsity team defeated Perry 7-2. Top players were Alison Green with five goals, Nikki Hillard with one goal and two assists, Alexis Cailor with a penalty kick, Lindsey Tokarsky with an assist, Sara Downie with an assist and Kristen Huck with nine saves.
