Colts Cheerleaders take first at camp
The Austintown Colts Cheerleaders attended the YAC Cheer Competition on Sept. 21 at Fitch High School. The Colts squads worked hard over the past few weeks and came up victorious with both the 100 pound and 120 pound squads taking first place for their routines and multiple awards in each division for the jump off and tumble off.
Night at the Races to be Oct. 19
The Austintown Little Falcons Night at the Races adult fundraiser will be Oct. 19 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall, located at 1655 S. Raccoon Road in Austintown. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the post time is 7 p.m. A donation of $10 per person or $15 per couple is appreciated. Snacks and first drink are included. There will be a cash bar, basket raffle, 10 full color video races, food, fun and fast action. All profits will benefit Austintown Little Falcons Football and Cheerleading Programs.

Fitch defeats Struthers
Austintown Fitch recently took on Struthers at Deer Creek golf course. The match went to Fitch 175-183. Lead players were Rachel Williamson (39), Jamie Rasor (44), Chelsea Raymer (46) and Jessica Halas (46).
Varsity soccer defeats Hubbard
Austintown Fitch girls varsity soccer recently defeated Hubbard 5-2. Goals for Fitch were scored by Lauren Bower (2), Tiffany Aliberti (2) and Megan McNally. Assists for Fitch were by Kimmy Muccio, Maddy Miller and Kaelyn Puhalla (2).
Fitch loses to Boardman
The Austintown Fitch girls golf team recently lost to Boardman 180-193 at Deer Creek Golf Course. Lead players for Fitch were Rachel Williamson (41), Jamie Rasor (50), Chelsea Raymer (50) and Jessica Halas (52).
Fitch wins tournament
Austintown Fitch recently attended the Ashtabula Lakeside volleyball tournament. Austintown defeated Lakeside 2-0 (25-23, 25-19). Lead players for Fitch were Taylor Herman with seven kills, Sarah Obradovich with six kills, five points and 10 assists, and Cali Mikovich with 12 digs.
Austintown continued to dominate play as they defeated Valley Forge 2-0 (25-15, 25-15). Lead players were Sarah Obradovich with nine kills, 10 digs, two aces and four points, Maura Bianco with nine kills and six points, Katarina Lewis with eight assists and Sydney Greenwood with 12 points and four aces.
In the championship match, Austintown claimed victory 2-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-15) against Saints John and Paul. Lead players in the match were Sarah Obradovich with 18 kills, 17 digs and two aces, Maura Bianco with 13 kills and two aces, Katarina Lewis with 24 assists and Cali Mikovich with 25 digs.
Girls volleyball defeats Poland
The Austintown Fitch girls volleyball team defeated Poland 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-16).
Top players for Fitch were Maura Bianco 15 attacks, five kills, three blocks and two aces; Alex Corrida with 21 digs, two aces; Taylor Herman with 15 attacks, seven kills; Katarina Lewis with 11 assists and Sarah Obradovich with eight assists and five kills.
Girls golf loses to Canfield
The Austintown Fitch girl’s golf team lost to Canfield 167-203 on Sept. 16 at Diamond Back Golf Course. Performing for Fitch was Rachel Williamson (46), Jamie Rasor (50), Jessica Halas (51) and Rebecca Castillo (56).
