LEETONIA

Alena Burzynski had 38 digs, eight points and eight kills in her first game for the Irish. Samantha Polumbo had 13 kills and nine digs and Katie Conlan had 26 assists and six points for Ursuline. Taylor Jones contributed 11 digs and seven points. The Bears (1-12) were led by Erica Gruszeki with 15 points, 19 digs and five kills, Erynn Jones with 10 points and six kills, and Carly Minhart with 10 points, eight assists and eight digs. Ygst Christian 25-25-25, Sebring 22-20-22

YOUNGSTOWN

Marissa Davis had 14 points and Paris Yanno had 21 assists in Youngstown Christian’s straight set win over Sebring. The Eagles (6-8) also got seven blocks from Sarah Crouch and one ace from Daria Shavers. JV: YCS 2-0.

YOUNGSTOWN

Maddie Abrigg had 12 kills and Jaclyn Yankle had nine for the Cardinals (15-2). Gina Patella added 25 assists and seven aces and Makenna Ozenghar had 14 digs. Courtney Conklin had 14 digs and Ally Wereb had four kills for the Rockets (5-9).

LaBrae 25-25-25, Niles 8-14-12

NILES

Paige Losey led the Vikings with 15 service points, including six aces, and 14 assists. Somer McCoy had seven kills and 10 digs and Miranda Dodrill had seven kills for LaBrae. JV: LaBrae, 2-0.

BRISTOLVILLE

Bristol’s Kylie Stoneman and Ashly Lamosek each had 13 service points, but the G-Men outlasted the Panthers in five games. Stoneman and Megan Selesky each had three aces. Olivia Pilon led Bristol with nine kills and Marlayna Perrine had eight blocks. Martha Pilon had a team-high 24 digs. Lamosek added 13 assists for the Panthers (7-8). JV: Bristol, 25-20-23-25, 25-19.

Late Tuesday

Boardman 25-25-25, McKinley 21-19-21

CANTON

Faith Saunders had 36 assists and 14 digs for Boardman (10-7) in their straight set victory over McKinley (4-11). Megan Volosin added 17 kills and 12 points, while Amanda Lipke had two blocks for the Spartans.

Columbiana 25-25-25, Southern 16-18-23

COLUMBIANA

Gierra Ross had 18 digs and seven points, and Shayla Ray had 17 kills and five points to lead Columbiana (10-5, 6-2) past Southern Local. Natalie Utt led Southern with 24 digs, while Kenzie Mosti contributed 12 assists.
