“Back in the Game” (8:30 P.M., ABC): “Bad News Bears” meets daddy issues in this occasionally humorous but very crass sitcom. James Caan stars.

Quartet to appear after duo’s recital

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana School of Music will present a free recital featuring Alexandra Preucil, the Cleveland Orchestra’s assistant concertmaster; and Cicilia Yudha, Dana piano faculty, at 3 p.m. Sunday in Bliss Recital Hall, inside Bliss Hall, on Wick Avenue. The program will include works by Mozart and Strauss.

A panel discussion with Preucil, John Wilcox, director of the Dana Symphony Orchestra, and members of the contemporary chamber music group Cordis Quartet will follow the recital. All who attend the recital will receive a voucher to the Cordis Quartet at 7:30 p.m. that evening at Stambaugh Auditorium. For information, call 330-941-3636.

Poster exhibition artists to speak

YOUNGSTOWN

The McDonough Museum of Art at Youngstown State University, 525 Wick Ave., will host three free one-hour lectures in the auditorium by artists whose work is part of the “Graphic Advocacy: International Posters for the Digital Age” exhibition at the museum.

Oct. 2, 5:30 p.m.: Lanny Sommese, distinguished professor of graphic design and faculty member, Penn State University.

Oct. 10, 5:30 p.m.: Michael Thompson, Artists Without Borders, graphic-design consultant, creative activist and poster designer.

Oct. 30, 5:30 p.m.: Marlena Buczek Smith, international artist who moved to the United States from Poland in the early 1990s.

The “Graphic Advocacy” exhibition will be on display through Nov. 8. It features posters from across the globe that make political statements, aid humanitarian efforts and raise awareness to causes. Call 330-941-1400.

Trash and Treasure sale at church
