“The Voice” (8 p.m., NBC): It’s time again to play musical chairs. “The Voice” kicks off Season 5 and celebrates the return of original coaches, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, who are back to spar with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

“How I Met Your Mother” (8 p.m., CBS): Talk about making time stand still. The final season of “How I Met Your Mother” will take place over one very long weekend as Robin and Barney (Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris) prepare for their wedding. Of course, we’ll finally get to know the “mother.”

“The Blacklist” (10 p.m., NBC): James Spader stars in “The Blacklist,” one of the season’s more-promising dramas. He plays Raymond “Red” Reddington, a long-wanted fugitive who offers to help the FBI catch bad guys, but on one condition: He only works with rookie agent Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).

“Hostages,” 10 p.m., CBS: Tense new drama focuses on a surgeon whose family is held hostage until she kills the president.

Popular singer at dinner-show

A few dozen tickets remain for the 18th annual Columbus Day Dinner and Show, Oct. 13 at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave.

The headliner will be Lights Out, a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

The opening act is Italian-born singer Simona DeRosa, who received standing ovations at the Warren Italian-American Festival in August.

Local residents Judy Conti and Dan Sebastiani will be honored during the show.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. followed by dinner, with the show at approximately 6 p.m.
