Help is on the way

Access Health Mahoning Valley and One Health Ohio received $93,146 and $127,937, respectively, to raise awareness and hire additional employees to help eligible residents understand the Affordable Care Act enrollment process and its options. Informational seminars are scheduled.

Oct. 8, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.: Cincinnati Atty. Hugh “Trey” Daly III, Ohio State director for Enroll America and an expert on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, will present a public seminar titled “Countdown to Coverage: Is Youngstown Ready for the Health Insurance Marketplace?” at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, Austintown Branch, 600 S. Raccoon Road.

Oct. 22, 2 p.m.: A representative of AARP will discuss “The Affordable Health Care Law: What does it Mean for You?” at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s Boardman Branch, 7680 Glenwood Ave.

Oct. 23, 7 p.m.: Same as above, but at the Library’s Poland Branch, 311 S. Main St.
