SENIOR CITIZENS


Commercial Intertech Retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mark’s Fellowship Hall on Logan Way. Lou Pizzuto will preside. Reports will be given by Gloria Wielbruda and Roberta Shick. Luncheon hosts are LeRoy and Thelma Saunders and Willard Gidney. All Commercial Intertech and Parker Hannifin retirees are welcome. Report illnesses to Connie DiPiero at 330-788-2340.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Douglas Martin will give the devotions. There will be a pizza party at noon. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. PERI Chapter 18 will meet at noon Oct. 1 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 N. Meridian Road, Austintown. Debbie Moss, a nurse from the Mahoning County Board of Health, will give flu shots before the meeting. Take insurance cards. An American Cancer Society representative will speak about cancer research. The menu consists of ham and scalloped potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, pumpkin pie and coffee or tea. There will be a money raffle. The cost is $10 for members, associate members and guests, payable at the door. Retired Registered Nurses will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church on Canfield Road. Guest speaker will be Joseph Schesler of the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities. All RNs are welcome.
