Safe-zone training for school personnel is Tuesday in Warren

WARREN — Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc., the Mahoning County Mental Health Board and the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board are sponsoring safe zone training for school personnel from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The training will be in the first floor conference room at the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, Youngstown Road Southeast. The Ohio Attorney General’s office has provided grant funding so each Mahoning and Trumbull county school system can send one staff member at no cost.

The training is to help school and agency staff create a safer place for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students. Call Help Hotline at 330-747-5111 to reserve a spot.
