BOARDMAN
A three-car crash on U.S. Route 224 in Boardman sent two to the hospital Friday morning.
About 10:45 a.m., a Chevrolet Cruze driven by 52-year-old Jill Pasqual of Boardman ran into an SUV, which then hit another SUV, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At the time of the accident, the cars were heading eastbound, and were in front of St. Charles Church.
After impact, the Cruze rolled backward about 450 feet, crossing over four lanes of traffic and striking the Wild Birds Unlimited sign at Amherst Avenue.
Pasqual and 94-year-old George Passas of Youngs- town, who was a passenger in the second SUV, were taken to the hospital.
Both were in stable condition late Friday. The patrol cited Pasqual for failing to maintain an assured clear distance.
