Instruments: Alto Saxophone; French Horn, Euphonium, Mellophone and Trumpet

Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. Remley: I began playing the Saxophone in the fourth grade.

Mediati: I began playing the french horn in the fifth grade; the mellophone in the ninth grade and the trumpet and euphonium in the 12th grade.

Q. What competitions did you participate in and what awards have you won?

A. Remley: I have participated in Solo and Ensemble contests with the band.

Mediati: I have participated in Solo and Ensemble and have won many blue ribbons for solos and ensembles.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. Remley: My best memory of being in the marching band is when we perform at Massillon Band Night. I am proud of how well we perform and it was very enjoyable.

Mediati: When I was a freshman we played a song called “Apache.” You were supposed to dance to it, and on my first day of band camp the seniors made me get up in the middle of the song and dance.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Remley: Music is important to me because it is how I express myself.

Mediati: When everything is going wrong, music is there for me. There’s a song for every mood, and it is something you feel.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. Remley: I hope to attend Youngstown State University with a vocal major.

Mediati: I plan to attend Bowling Green University with a major in music education.
