SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR During the Canfield Fair, Master Park Martial Arts International conducted a Hi-Ya (shouting) Challenge. Following are some of the benefits that are said to come from practicing Hi-Ya: improved breathing and lung capacity, less stress, more energy, improved concentration, learning discipline, and developing confidence, strength and balance. Here, contestants present their overall shouting with breathing techniques. The next Hi-Ya competition will be Sept. 29 at the Maag Outdoor Theatre during the Rotary Oktober Festival at Boardman Park. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Participants, sponsors and award donations are needed. All donations and sponsorship fees will go to the Boardman Rotary Community Project.
